1. Humble Beginnings & A Spark of Ambition
In 1975, facing severe economic hardships, young Baburao Mane knew he had to build a better future for his family. His father, Maruti Mane, worked tirelessly in a mill, while his mother, Manjulabai, took on extra work to support the children. Seeing his parents' struggle became Baburao's ultimate driving force.
Immediately after completing 10th grade, he joined local binding workshops to earn a living. Working hands-on with paper, thread, and leather didn't just earn him a wage—it ignited a lifelong passion for fine bookbinding.
2. A Mother's Faith & The First Workshop
Taking a leap of faith, Baburao began taking contract binding work for government offices. Recognizing his determination, his mother Manjulabai gave him her hard-earned savings to launch his enterprise from a single room at home. In honor of her sacrifice and support, the business was proudly named 'Manjula'.
3. Core Philosophy: "Every Employee is Family"
Even today, after extensive growth, Baburao Mane sits alongside workers on the factory floor with the exact same humility and dedication as in 1975.
